Amazing Salvation
After David and Caleb were at the dentist on a Saturday morning they met a man at the bank leaning against the door, waiting to be opened at 9am. He could hardly stand because of his crippled back which caused him a tremendous amount of pain. One of his eye is blind and the other one can scarcely see. David asked him if he could pray for him. He gladly agreed. Then David explained the gospel to him. After C. asked if David knew a taxi service around here to take him home. David offered him a lift home after he was done with his banking business. After C. entered the car David continued to explain the gospel to him. While C. was still sitting on the passenger car seat he was so open for God so that as soon as the penny dropped he started to pray of his own accord and asked Jesus to forgive his sins and come into his life. It was absolutely amazing. It was also so good for Caleb who saw everything from the beginning to the end. Since that occasion David visited him at home quite a few times and explained salvation in more depth and it’s such a joy how open he is. Chris said: “that he will tell his carer not to come anymore on Sunday mornings as he will go to church.” As he can’t read the bible C. was delighted when we gave him a portable mp3 loud speaker with the bible on it and a few teaching DVD’s. Please pray for his spiritual growth. We have started a one-to-one discipleship course with C. so that he can grow spiritually. Please pray also for his smoke addiction which he wants to get rid of.
Open-air in Norwich
David had a very inspiring talk at the Open-air with a 17 year old lad called Jerry. His mother is English (Christian background – not saved) and his father is Armenian (Moslem background). Jerry was confused and sincerely wanted to know more. It was a long time ago David had the blessing to talk to somebody so interested. They had a solid long talk. Please pray for Jerry (Jeremiah) that he will take steps and read the given Bible and get saved soon.
We are soon taking our massive step by faith what we believe God wants us to do. We will leave The Faith Mission on April 30th and start as Gospel Alive Ministries on May 1st living by faith. We are still looking for a house somewhere outside of Peterborough area. We have literally just launched our website www.gospelaliveministries.com We especially want to draw your attention to the ‘monthly newsletter’ where we invite supportive Christians (who commit to pray for us – however frequent- but, regularly) to be part of our ‘Gospel Alive Prayer Team’. With that you will officially be part of our Gospel Alive Ministries Team and receive our monthly newsletter with calendar (sorry – per e-mail only). On the website you can also follow forthcoming events under ‘Calendar’.
We will continue to send out the quarterly newsletter as normal, but you can be kept more up to date via the Website.
Testimony of an ‘Encouraging divine healing’
During the course of the past year I had four unplanned visits to the hospital via paramedics, with heart problems, chiefly caused by irregular heart beats, known as A.F. After various tests it was decided I should have a medical procedure to stop the heart and re-start in order to get the beats on a regular basis, (cardio version), and a date was set for this. During the waiting period we attended the Faith Mission Convention in Edinburgh, where much kindness was shown to us. Between one of the meetings David Ohin enquired of my wife about my health and he asked me if I would mind him praying for me. He laid hands on me and prayed and I felt a real difference. Following this my wife, being a nurse, took my pulse on various occasions afterwards and found it regular, and she herself, thought it’s amazing. On returning from the Convention and going for a pre-admission visit for tests. The consultant was amazed with the tests and the result was I did not require the medical procedure. For me it was a clear answer to prayer for which I thank the Lord.
