Crusade meetings
We had an amusing Welcome on our car journey: we were greeted by a monkey so we gave him a banana. We had very powerful meetings. Every night God seemed to concentrate on a different area.
The first night it was strongly on salvation and 20 got down on their knees and got saved. On the second night we saw people delivered from evil spirits. On the third night a lot of healings. On the fourth, 9 backsliders came back to Christ and on the closing night we saw lots of instant healing miracles and 11 gave their lives to Jesus. David had never seen so many miracles in one single night – it was awesome.
We also were delighted to baptize 31 people. After the baptism many evil spirits manifested and we cast them out. Despite things going wrong in Uganda regarding the preparation for the crusade and therefore not having as many as we had expected, it was still very encouraging as 41 adults got saved altogether at the crusade (91 people including the children) – Praise God!
Seminars
For some, even the basics were not clear. Someone asked, “why is ‘salvation’ taught different in two different locations?”
Also over 100 pastors had attended, some coming from far. They all stayed in a church overnight.
Healings
We could list quite a few miracles God performed, but just want to mention a few things we have seen.
One girl was completely blind and saw only utter darkness. After prayer she saw light. She also had many evil spirits in her which came upon her by a witchcraft attack 5 years ago. It was a long drawn out deliverance but they left her in the end. Then we prayed again for her eyes and she could see David’s hand moving and the colour blue (his shirt). Unfortunately, at that stage we didn’t see any more progress which was heart-breaking.
During the crusade we also saw an elderly woman healed on her wrist and chest. One man came with a broken collar bone (from an accident) and God healed him so that he could lift his arm again. We also witnessed how neck, stomachs, chest, muscle, hand, back etc problems got healed.
Kids and Youth Clubs
It was absolutely fantastic to have been able to cover the kids age for the first time. Arabella and Gilda did an outstanding job. Most of the times they had over 100 in and on Sunday the number mounted up to around 120 kids.
Approximately 50 children got saved.
In the youth meetings at night we had up to 46 hungry teenagers in with many questions.
It was a joy to teach them.
