Mission Team in Uganda

At this moment we have a mission team from our GAM Church in Switzerland, currently serving in Uganda. They are working with our GAM churches—encouraging, teaching, and reaching out practically in the streets—while also preparing the groundwork for our very first orphanage, which will be operated under GAC. Please remember them in prayer! We will share everything in our next Newsletter.

A New Chapter: The Birth of Gospel Alive Charity (GAC)

We are thrilled to announce the expansion of our humanitarian work through the establishment of Gospel Alive Charity (GAC). We plan to register this organisation in Switzerland this January. This new branch will focus specifically on caring for orphans (starting in Uganda), widows, and vulnerable communities, allowing us to serve more effectively in areas of great need.

We are deeply thankful to the Lord for adding to our team individuals who have carried this vision in their hearts for many years. In fact, David and Donna had long desired to begin such a ministry, but at the time it was simply beyond their capacity. Now, by God’s grace, that dream is becoming a reality as GAC will begin to take shape.

We will share more details and a full introduction to Gospel Alive Charity once the organization is fully operational.

A Long-Dreamed Vision Becoming Reality – Headquarter in Africa

We give heartfelt thanks to God for turning a long-awaited dream into reality! For many years, it has been our desire to establish a Headquarters for GAM Africa in Tanzania. As the ministry continues to grow, the need for a central office became increasingly urgent — we had reached a point where the work could no longer be effectively managed without it.

Through the incredible generosity of one of our donors, we were finally able to begin this important project. The new GAM Headquarters is being built in Makuyuni, located in the Manyara Region, near the Tarangire National Park. The property covers four acres (over 16,000 square metres) — a beautiful and strategic location for our growing ministry.

The first structure built on the land was a small hut raised above the ground, made from the wood of trees cleared from the site. The elevated design was chosen for a very practical reason — to protect the builders from snakes and other ground-dwelling creatures. This humble hut now serves as accommodation for the construction team, who are living on-site for several months until the entire project is completed.

To ensure safety, especially given the proximity to the National Park, a protective fence was the next priority — a necessary measure to keep out wild animals. Following that, construction began on the main office building, which will also include guest rooms for visiting pastors, bishops, and ministry partners. Many of our guests travel long distances, even from other countries. Having a place to host them comfortably on-site will be a great blessing.

One of the biggest challenges we faced was finding a reliable water source. Instead of drilling an expensive borehole, the team used manual tools and a small digging machine to dig for water — an arduous and time-consuming process. After weeks of digging, we have just now found water – at a depth of over 50 meters! We will have access to our own supply on the property — a precious gift that will sustain the project and the ministry for years to come.

Please continue to pray for the successful completion of the GAM Africa Headquarters. We have faced many obstacles and unexpected difficulties along the way and still face, but we trust that God, who began this good work, will see it through to completion. Thank you for standing with us in prayer.
