GAM Pastors’ Conference in Kahama, Tanzania.

The first part of the conference went amazingly well. All the pastors were like sponges, taking in every word.

Then we encountered two challenges—one encouraging and one deeply tragic.

We had invited 300 pastors, but 483 attended! This stretched our budget considerably, and the meeting room was far too small . Many pastors listened from outside , and those who were unable to attend sent representatives so they could receive the teaching materials and conference handouts we had prepared .

Then something extremely tragic happened. During the lunch break, one pastor left the conference premises and was struck by a car. Sadly, he died at the scene. He was only 40 years old.

We are deeply shocked and grieved, especially for his wife (Stella) and family of 5 precious children he leaves behind.

After much prayer and reflection, I believe that although this is a painful setback for the Kingdom of God, the Lord will bring abundant fruit from it in the future—not only in that region but also through the many conferences that will continue to shape and influence entire nations.

In Scripture, Jesus taught that unless a grain of wheat falls into the ground and dies, it remains alone; but if it dies, it bears much fruit (John 12:24). Throughout church history, we also read of many pioneers whose greatest losses became the seed of an even greater harvest for God’s Kingdom. Remarkably, this conviction has been confirmed independently by three different people.

Our hearts are deeply saddened by this loss, but we also trust that God will bring beauty from ashes and that many lives will ultimately be impacted for His glory.

Please pray especially for Stella, the children, and extended family as they walk through this heartbreaking and tremendously difficult time. We have set up a business for this widow so that she can look after her family.

Swiss Trip

We had an amazing time in Switzerland, marked by two significant milestones!

We moved our GAM Church from meeting in a home into a church room. We dedicated the new room to the Lord, and there was a wonderful sense of spiritual hunger and expectation in the atmosphere. David also inducted several people into their respective offices. It was so encouraging to see these willing vessels stepping forward to serve the Lord and fulfil His calling on their lives.

Thank you so much to everyone who prayed and stood with us!

God Opens a New Door for 66 Orphans

We praise God that, although the orphanage project could not move forward, HE has already provided an exciting alternative! Through this new programme, we will be able to support 66 orphans while they are being looked after by 20 different Households from our GAM churches in Uganda and most of them are our pastors allowing them to be part of their own families and communities.

The great advantage of this approach is that many of the expenses associated with running an orphanage can be greatly reduced, enabling us to channel far more of every donation directly to the children themselves. This means that support can go straight towards food, school fees, healthcare, clothing, and other essential needs, while allowing the children to remain in a familiar family and community environment.

At the same time, we are committed to ensuring that all donations are handled with the highest level of integrity and accountability. Every guardian (in our case pastor) who receives support will be required to sign an agreement confirming that the funds will only be used for the benefit of the children. They will also be required to provide receipts, photographs, and regular updates. In addition, our GAM Country Representative for Uganda will render visits to monitor the welfare of the children, collect supporting evidence, verify that the funds are being used appropriately, and encourage both the children and their caregivers. We believe that faithful stewardship honours both God and our donors, and we want every supporter to have confidence that their gifts are reaching those for whom they were intended.

We are thrilled about this new opportunity and believe it will have an even greater impact than our original plans. Please pray for this new project as we move forward and seek to bring practical help and hope to these precious children. We thank God for opening a new door and making a way where, at first, there seemed to be none.

Testimony

Jesus Restores Hearing!

My name is Lisa and I ‘m from Sunderland.

I’ve been in contact with Donna Ohin, through WhatsApp, for a few months now and I mentioned to her about me not being able to hear very well with my left ear and asked her to pray for me, that it wouldn’t be anything serious.

I’d been to see an Audiologist about it, who said that the test showed that I couldn’t hear high pitch. The Audiologist told me that she would be sending the results to my GP, and that I should receive a letter from them within 2 weeks to see whether I would need a more in-depth hearing test.

Donna asked me if I would like David to pray for me over the phone. I said that I would.

I rang David and he told me to cover my left ear with my hand and put the phone to my right ear.

David prayed and it worked a little bit the first time, so the process was repeated a second time. Both times David prayed and my ear was covered; there was a slight tickling sensation in my left ear.

David then asked me to alternate the phone over both ears while saying a Psalm (he was whispering), to see if my hearing was the same in both ears. I told him it was, so I thanked him.

David said that I should have another hearing test to make sure.

I have had another hearing test since, which said that I have no hearing problem. Praise The Lord!

Thank you very much for praying for us.
