10 Years GAM:
We cannot believe that this month exactly 10 years ago we stepped out in faith and founded GAM. This decade flew by extremely fast. Thank you again so much for your support in so many ways! May the LORD bless you abundantly for it!
Democratic Republic of the Congo:
We have recently started to work in DRC and I would like to share the report we have received from our GAM Representative in DRC for you to join us in prayer:
“We recently mentioned, our country, especially the Eastern region in Goma, remains in a deteriorating situation because every day, we wake up to report numerous cases of killings. For example, there have been at least four days where the city witnessed more than 20 deaths, with the perpetrators still unknown. Every night, the sound of gunfire makes it impossible to have a peaceful evening. The isolation of the population, who are afraid to travel far from their families for fear of being seen as enemies of peace. The financial situation in the city, which prevents the population from meeting their basic needs. For instance, public servants must travel more than 300 km to receive their salary, in a region where transportation is almost non-existent.
This young man was struck hard on the leg by a loud explosion that was heard even here in Goma, DRC. He (was) currently in the hospital receiving treatment. We are asking for your prayers because he (was) in a critical condition. (Actually, we thought the photo of his large open wound would be too distressing to see. Since the report he is in a more stabilised condition.)”
Please continue to pray for our nation so that God may intervene and calm this war, as many people are dying.
